2023 FUDGE FESTIVAL

WELCOME TO THE FUDGE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD!
For an entire weekend the Mackinac Island Fudge Festival celebrates the Island’s most famous treat and features a number of fudge-related, fun, family events! Activities include fudge-making demonstrations, fudge inspired food and cocktails, an outdoor movie, family games, and more!
Schedule of Events
9:00am – 4:00pm: Fire the Fort Mackinac Cannon! Sign up for a chance at the Tourism Bureau booth.
9:00am – 5:00pm: Be an honorary fudge maker! Sign up for a chance at the Tourism Bureau booth.
9:00am – 8:00pm: 15-foot coloring mural at Windermere Point.
12:00pm: Free Fudge Flights at May’s Candy Shop. Available to the first 25 participants.
12:00pm – 5:00pm: Fudge Quest! Follow the clues on this quest to find the “treasure boxes” and win prizes! More details at the Tourism Bureau booth. While supplies last.
12:30pm – 1:00pm: “Guess The Flavor” contest at Murray Hotel Fudge Company. First 10 correct guesses win a 1/2 lb fudge!
4:00pm: May’s Candy Shop live on TikTok @heathercmay for 4th generation fudge making and Q&A.
6:00pm – 8:00pm: Market Street Art Walk. View art galleries and shops on Market Street.
6:30pm – 8:30pm: West Michigan Bootscooters Dancing in the Street. Located on Market Street by the Stuart House Museum, free event.

For the first time, we had a fudge naming contest. People from all over the country submitted their best fudge name ideas. Those 2,300+ entries were narrowed down to the Top 20 finalists and the winning name was chosen at random.Â
