There are lovely shops in the downtown area of the Island. Main Street, Market Street, Fort Street, Astor Street and Hoban Street are where you will find great clothing stores, toy stores, jewelry shops, fine home gifts, souvenir shops and art galleries filled the works of local artists and artisans.
Up Island at Surrey Hills (on the first stop of the official horse-drawn carriage tour) travelers may get their pictures taken, grab a light bite to eat and shop in the souvenir shops before embarking to view Mackinac Island State Park.
