Watercolor Cafe: Mackinac Clematis

Join artist Megan Swoyer as she leads you through this fun watercolor workshop that focuses on the vibrant, personality-filled clematis. From vine to leaf to bud to bloom — and an old white fence — this painting pops with the very essence of Mackinac. She’ll show you wet-into-wet and wet-into-dry techniques and lead you step by step. No drawing or painting experience is necessary as she simplifies the sketch and the painting process.
About the Instructor
Megan Swoyer is Southeast Michigan-based artist who enjoys capturing botanical beauty. Her award-winning watercolors showcase Michigan’s flowers and varying landscapes. She has been painting for several decades and started teaching in 2018 both in-person and on Zoom. Her northern Michigan cottage as well as the Mackinac region are her favorite locales for painting inspirations.
