Watercolor Cafe: Make It Monday Kid’s Classes (ages 9-14)

An event every week that begins at 3:00 pm on Monday, repeating until August 29, 2022
Children are welcome every Monday throughout the summer for an hour long creative session. Every week is a new project. Drop-in, or register ahead of time and save.
Age grouping is flexible! Siblings or friends are welcome to override the suggested time slot if they want to work together.
Make It Monday events are approximately 50 minutes long. Parents are welcome to stay on site or leave. All art materials provided. Snacks for purchase. Classes will beheld outside, weather permitting. We welcome day travelers, overnight visitors, locals, and children in between. Your child will leave with their own artwork and a boost of confidence!
About the instructors:
Megan Kromer is a local crafting extraordinaire, specializing in metal stamping, leather wrap jewelry, wood burning and more. Her jewelry can be found at boutiques around the island and at craft shows around northern Michigan. Megan studied art and culinary at the University of Toledo, met he husband on Mackinac Island, had two boys, and resides on Mackinac Island year-round with her family.
Kate Dupre works as an independent artist and as the proprietor of Watercolor Cafe (opened in 2019). Throughout the summer she instructs watercolor and acrylic classes and operates the cafe. Kate has a BA in Graphic Design but has found her niche in painting and illustration and her personal work is an ode to the beauty and spirituality of Mackinac. www.katecreates.work
