Haan’s 1830 Inn

Haan’s 1830 Inn is an early Greek Revival home with nine unique guest rooms beautifully appointed with fine antiques, many guest amenities and period Island touches. The Inn has been run by three generations of the Haan family, since 1980.

Cloghaun Bed & Breakfast

Cloghaun is one of the oldest Victorian homes on the Island. Thomas and Bridget Donnelly left Ireland in 1848, and completed Cloghaun in 1884. This lovely home has been preserved by their descendants and now offers guests a tranquil, romantic interlude from the demands of everyday life.

Their house was built in the mid-1850s during the period when the Mackinac Island fishing industry was expanding. The industry was developed by the many Irish families who came as a result of the potato famine. The home was left vacant for a period of about forty years, ending when a new foundation, heating system and bathrooms were installed in 1957.
