S’mores and Meteors

Join us for the night sky event of the year – the Perseid Meteor Shower! Meet at the Fort Mackinac Avenue of Flags at 9:30 p.m. for a guided hike to Fort Holmes with a Mackinac State Historic Parks ranger and learn about the night sky, stars, a little history, and enjoy s’mores. This is a free event! The actual program ends around 10:45 p.m., but guests are encouraged to stick around to stargaze.
If you can, bring bug spray, a blanket or chair, water, a small flashlight, and binoculars. In the event of inclement weather this event will be moved to Saturday, August 13.
