ALL THINGS BIKES
Since no cars are allowed on Mackinac Island, one of the most scenic ways to take in the natural beauty is by bicycle. You’re always welcome to take your own bikes to Mackinac Island on the ferry. But there also are several places to rent bikes – from single-speed cruisers to tandem bikes to tag-along trailers for little kids. One of the iconic Mackinac Island experiences is to pedal all the way around the outer rim of the Island with the lake breeze in your face. It’s a leisurely 8.2-mile ride that takes 60 to 90 minutes.
