Lilac Festival Grand Parade
Sunday, June 15th. Lineup begins at 3:00 pm, parade starts at 4:00 pm.
Considered a Local Legacy Event by the United States Library of Congress, the Lilac Festival finale features marching bands, horse-drawn floats, the Lilac Queen and Court, clowns, and various Mackinac Island and off-island groups to help wrap up the end of our fabulous festival week!

WHEN IS THE PARADE?
Sunday, June 15th. Lineup begins at 3:00 pm, parade starts at 4:00 pm.
HOW DO I REGISTER FOR THE PARADE?
Fill out the parade application here (coming soon).
WHAT IS THE COST TO BE IN THE PARADE?
No cost! It is free to participate in the parade, but you must complete the application. If you arrange a dray or a carriage, there may be a fee to use these services.
DO I HAVE TO BE A MACKINAC ISLAND BUSINESS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PARADE?
No! Businesses and organizations from outside of Mackinac Island are welcome to participate, with the exception of elected officials, who must be currently in office and invited by the Lilac Festival Committee. The Lilac Festival Committee has the right to refuse entry if potential participants don’t meet entry guidelines.
WHAT IS THE PARADE ROUTE?
The parade begins at Mission Point Resort and follows M-185 to Main Street and ends at Windermere Point.
HOW DO I PICK UP MY TICKETS IF I’M A PARADE PARTICIPANT?
Ferry ticket details will be available soon.
WE’RE A MARCHING BAND, IS THERE A SPOT TO STORE OUR INSTRUMENTS AHEAD OF THE PARADE?
Yes. We have a supervised storage spot available for all instruments and parade participants. We will provide more information if requested and after receiving the parade application.
