Mackinac Island is a great place to live and work. Seasonal jobs in the hospitality, retail and horse industries are plenty with many positions are available from May through October.

College students are encouraged to apply for peak season summer positions fitting within your summer break dates. Internships are available for hospitality, botany, entomology, landscape architecture, graphic arts majors and more. Most positions offer shared dorm style housing, some offer meal plans.

Please know most positions and internships are filled between January and April for the following season. If you are looking for employment after May, consider applying, but know there is limited opportunity.

Please note: we do not accept or forward applications or resumes from this website, please surf the sites of the businesses found on this site, follow the potential employers job application policies and check back often. There is also a Facebook page dedicated to job openings on the Island. We hope to see you working on the Island this coming season and thank you for your interest.

Most workers on Mackinac Island are college aged students. Students looking for work should be at least 18 years old and able to live in a shared dorm style environment. Housing is directly related to one’s job with most employers offering shared housing for a fee generally deducted from your paycheck.
