44th Annual Winter Festival

Winter Festival is a fundraiser for Mackinac Island Recreational Development (MIRD). MIRD raises money through the sale of the Seasons of Mackinac calendar and this annual winter festival to support the recreational needs of Mackinac Island. MIRD’s focus is on providing the equipment for recreation. Past projects include purchasing skis for the school kids, playground equipment, and providing funding for the purchase of ski trail grooming equipment. We continue our commitment to outfit and upgrade Great Turtle Park.
Saturday, February 1st – afternoon events will be held outside at Great Turtle Park 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm; in the evening 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm Mackinac Island State Park is hosting a Turtle Trek Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe Lantern Lit event. There will also be ice skating and a bonfire at Greeney Grove.
Sunday, February 2nd – activities will be held from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Mackinac Island Public School with a delicious Brunch 10:00 – 1:00 pm, and other events such as Calendar Photo Contest, Silent Auction, Archery, Poker Run, Bingo, and Kid’s Activities throughout the day until 2:00 pm.
