*Your original artwork can be any size and any medium, however, the file you submit today is the file that, if chosen as the winner, will be used to print as the official Lilac Festival Poster. The poster is 16 x 20 vertical image. Make sure your file is high quality and the correct size, otherwise it could be cropped to fit correctly.

Contest Rules

I understand that by signing this contract and submitting artwork in the 2025 Mackinac Island Lilac Festival Poster Contest I agree to the following:

Applicant will retain ownership of the original artwork and can sell it at their discretion, but the applicant irrevocably assign Mackinac Island Tourism Bureau exclusive copyright, trademark, licensing, marketing, distribution, reproduction, and registration rights to the artwork for any, and all purposes and uses. 

Non-compliance with condition disqualifies artist's entry. The artist understands that Mackinac Island Tourism Bureau, the Mackinac Arts Council, and other involved parties will not be held responsible for loss, theft, or damage, whether caused by the negligence of its officers, members or others. The Lilac Committee recommends that the artist purchase insurance to cover their artwork.

The jurist reseres the right to reject any submitted works not consistent with images submitted during application. This release shall be complete bar and defense against any claim which arises out of the loss or damage of artwork.
