Pine Cottage was built in 1870 and was one of the first hotels on the Island, tucked along quiet Bogan Lane. Over the years it has welcomed some famous visitors through it's doors - the baseball player, Ty Cobb, was a guest - staying for his honeymoon, and Ernest Hemingway is known to have stayed as well. Today the Pine Cottage is run as a bed and breakfast and holds true to it's original charm with rustic Victorian ambiance. You will still find the steam radiators and antique clawfoot tubs from the original hotel.
